Paysafe: PCI Compliance

In this article, you will learn how to become PCI compliant.

Any merchant that handles credit cards must be PCI compliant. To become PCI compliant, you will have to answer some questions to create awareness about proper handling of credit cards.

Step 1: Create an Account

After you have completed the Merchant Account process, you will receive an email with instructions on how to login to your PCI compliant survey. There is no cost to fill out the form and no cost to become PCI compliant. However, if you choose not to go through this process the merchant will charge a monthly fee of $19.95.

Step 2: Merchant Info & Relationships

Part 2 – Type of Merchant Business – Retailer
Part 3 – Relationships – Third Party = Yes, More than One Acquirer = No

Step 5: Answer the Questions

Depending on which application you are filling out, there could be numerous questions in this section. Click Start Questionnaire and this will take you through the questions.

The questions might seem overwhelming but if you follow this guide, you will be OK.

– Many of the questions asked refer back to Software 4 Schools and how we handle credit card information along with Paysafe.
– In general, if you don’t know the answer it is probably going to be Yes.
– If you are in a district controlled environment, those protections will almost certainly be in place and your answer will be Yes.
– PCI compliance was put in place to raise awareness. In order to pass, you must select Yes on all items.
– If you are unsure about an answer, it is probably going to be Yes, but if you want to confirm, please email support@software4schools.com or Paysafe at (877) 421-5990 ext 234
