Preparing for Next School Year
In this article, you will learn how to setup your application to prepare for next school year.
Use the check-boxes to select all elections.
Click on the Deactivate button. Doing this will hide the elections from your main screen. If you need to look at prior year elections you can click on the View Inactive button.
It is recommended to deactivate all your prior year elections. Click on the Elections button available at the top bar and select the tab for Elections.
Select the option for Mass Activate/Deactivate/Delete Students.
Select the option ‘Deactivate’ from the dropdown.
Select ‘All’ from the Voting dropdown and click on the Do it! button.
You need to remove all students from the prior school year. To do so, click on the Configure button available at the top bar and select the tab for Mass Updates.
Clean Up User Accounts
Under the System Settings, click on the Users button available at the top bar. You can view all users in the staff section.
Select the checkboxes and system will show the button for Deactivate. This step is similar to deactivating all events.
Update Account Status
Make sure your account is not going to expire when you need it. To check the status of your account, click on the Configure button at the top bar and select the tab for My Account. You can see your account expiration date.
You can renew your account with a PO / Check or Credit Card right from this page by clicking on the Renewal button.
Now that your application is all cleared out it is time to get ready for the upcoming school year. You will need to get a list of students. The list needs to include Student ID, First name, Last name and Voting Group (typically grade level), password (typically student birthday unless you have a password you can export) and Email (optional).
Click on the Students button at the top bar and select the tab for Upload Students.
Click on the File button and import your student file.
